Today I cried.

I got a package in the mail today from a bloggy friend. Inside was a belly band that she graciously offered to send to me! When I put it on, I immediately felt the relief I had been seeking for the past few months... both physically and emotionally. You can see my teary eyed face combined with a smile in this photo:

THIS, ladies, is what I was hoping for when I started blogging. I wanted to find friends. I wanted to feel the comfort that comes from knowing someone out there cares just a little bit more. I have friends like this in town I've known for years that I'm eternally grateful for and maybe I'm being selfish by wanting to find more, but who cares? :) I've been lucky enough to begin friendships with many of you and I look forward to cultivating more and hopefully making a difference in someone's life in a small (or major) way like Jess made in mine today.

Thanks Mama WhiteElk!

  1. Awww how sweet! Most of the time it isn't about the item but the thought and love behind it. I gave away my maternity jeans already, or else I would have sent them to you! But you can check em out at forever 21 online if your f21 doesn't carry a maternity line. They're like 15 bucks!

    1. Heck yes! I didn't know they had a maternity line! I'm soooo excited to check it out, thanks!!!

  2. That is SO sweet. Oh.MY.Gosh. I totally agree. I am so thankful to be meeting such incredible people and making some amazing friends.

  3. You're so not alone in this. I feel like a friend hoarder. I have tons of them. But lately I have felt a disconnect with some of my closest gal pals. I hate that. I don't know if it's cuz I am married now and the relationships have changed. I get that relationships evolve and change. But I find myself mourning the changes. But my blog friends have been the silver lining in all of this. And they have gotten me through a lot of my sad days. So thankful for them. You are one of them.

  4. Awww, you are so very welcome! You deserve it :)

  5. You definitely made a difference in my blog life when my old one went down! I still cannot thank you enough for that!

  6. That is great that you are meeting some new people! I have truly enjoyed making friends through blogging, too! I'm glad to have made your acquaintance as well!

    Your belly is REALLY cute......!!!!

  7. Wow - what a great post today. :) I love happy cries...when something finally goes right and you feel like there is still good in the world.
This is the best post I've red today...
    Great job Pretty Lady!

  8. love love. happy tears are the best xoxo

  9. I know what you mean...I'm yearning to build bloggy friends too.

So, happy to hear you got some relief. Those bands are a blessing.

  10. That is wonderful!! I needed one of those with my pregnancy as I really had some sore days and find it painful walking and those really helped, so I am happy someone had one to send you!! Shows there are still some genuine people uin this cold look radiant!! xo

  11. You're so beautiful. I think the softly swollen belly of a pregnant woman is one of the most earthly, beautiful sights to witness. Love that you're confident enough to show us both your physical & emotional vulnerability. I love my blog (and twitter!!!!) friends too. :)

Actually, I'm borderline obsessed with some of my twitter friends, and I'm dragging my poor boyfriend into my online friendships.

  12. omg. you are the most adorable thing on the planet!!!
look at your cute baby bump.
    love love love

  13. what in the world is a belly band!!?? i bet i could have done with one... well, that time has passed now. lol
glad you feel better. thanks for popping by my place. :)
