Today I cried.

I got a package in the mail today from a bloggy friend. Inside was a belly band that she graciously offered to send to me! When I put it on, I immediately felt the relief I had been seeking for the past few months... both physically and emotionally. You can see my teary eyed face combined with a smile in this photo:

THIS, ladies, is what I was hoping for when I started blogging. I wanted to find friends. I wanted to feel the comfort that comes from knowing someone out there cares just a little bit more. I have friends like this in town I've known for years that I'm eternally grateful for and maybe I'm being selfish by wanting to find more, but who cares? :) I've been lucky enough to begin friendships with many of you and I look forward to cultivating more and hopefully making a difference in someone's life in a small (or major) way like Jess made in mine today.

Thanks Mama WhiteElk!

  1. Awww how sweet! Most of the time it isn't about the item but the thought and love behind it. I gave away my maternity jeans already, or else I would have sent them to you! But you can check em out at forever 21 online if your f21 doesn't carry a maternity line. They're like 15 bucks!

  3. You're so not alone in this. I feel like a friend hoarder. I have tons of them. But lately I have felt a disconnect with some of my closest gal pals. I hate that. I don't know if it's cuz I am married now and the relationships have changed. I get that relationships evolve and change. But I find myself mourning the changes. But my blog friends have been the silver lining in all of this. And they have gotten me through a lot of my sad days. So thankful for them. You are one of them.

  11. You're so beautiful. I think the softly swollen belly of a pregnant woman is one of the most earthly, beautiful sights to witness. Love that you're confident enough to show us both your physical & emotional vulnerability. I love my blog (and twitter!!!!) friends too. :)

Actually, I'm borderline obsessed with some of my twitter friends, and I'm dragging my poor boyfriend into my online friendships.
